I’ve been in a slump!

So, I know I’ve been pretty quiet lately, and it’s not only because I’ve been SUPER busy this fall, but also because I have gotten into somewhat of a slump. I’ve been feeling lost in terms of where my business is headed, and where I am headed personally. I’ve had a lot to deal with this year – health issues, money issues, family issues, you name it. However, I realize that giving up is NOT an option. Letting things (even those as simple as blog-posts and social media updates) fall behind are just not something I want to do, and not something I normally LET myself do. But, here I am, almost two months late in blogging my late summer/early fall sessions and weddings. All-in-all, I hope that you all can forgive my absence and we can pick right back up where we left off!

I LOVE returning clients!

I’m starting off with a senior session from late summer. Jordan’s mom first contacted me last school year to take ring dance photos of her in her dress. We got some fabulous shots outside of CNU’s Ferguson Center – those arches are a symmetry-lover’s dream! Jordan’s mom was so happy with those images that she naturally contacted me for Jordan’s Senior portraits this year. I have to say – this girl is so photogenic, it made this one of my easiest senior sessions to date!

Yorktown Beach Senior Portraits

We chose Yorktown Beach to do the session, which is an amazing spot – and not just for portraits (you should definitely visit it sometime!). The variety of trees, buildings, and beachfront makes it perfectly versatile for any type of portraits. The light was great that afternoon, and the weather was too!

There are few words to describe how great these photos turned out – I recently ordered a sample canvas from a professional photo lab with one of Jordan’s images and I instantly fell in love with it. Not only was the quality far superior to any canvas I’ve seen, but the image itself looks so amazing on canvas.

I’m so glad I’ve gotten to work with Jordan twice now, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her!
