Yorktown Beach Engagement Session | Ashley & Trey’s Date in the Rain

The forecast had a slight chance of showers for Ashley and Trey’s Yorktown Beach engagement session this spring. The way the weather is around here, we took the chance anyway that the rain would pass by or would only be brief so we could continue our session after. Trey had a completely different idea. He was actually hoping for rain! Well, he got what he wished for and more! We had some amazing dramatic skies and lighting at the beginning of our session, and then the rain came. The two of them were like adorable little kids playing in that storm! It only lasted about 15 minutes before the skies cleared and a beautiful rainbow appeared that you could see from end-to-end. It was amazing!

I was in for even more fun when Trey and Ashley wanted to play in the water too! They were already wet from the rain, so why not?! With the combination of the rainbow and them playing in the water, I was able to get some really great photos of them being themselves – which is what I try to accomplish with ALL of my couples!

By the time we were finishing up, they were still in the best of spirits, despite the freezing water and chilly evening air. I really enjoyed spending this time with them and I just know that they are going to have an amazing and FUN wedding at the Women’s Club of Portsmouth this month!
