Wedding at The Historic Post Office | Jessica & Tyler

As we all are surviving through these crazy times, things are very slow for wedding photography. I am thankful for the couple that I have been able to do thus far this year, and am greatly looking forward to an elopement-style ceremony I have this weekend (well within the guidelines of course!). To pass the time, I’m overjoyed to present this beautiful wedding at the Historic Post Office in Downtown Hampton. Not only is this one of my favorite venues, but Jessica’s brother and sister-in-law are one of my past bride and grooms. It was an absolute pleasure seeing their family again and getting to share this day with them!

This was my first full wedding at the Historic Post Office and I’m very excited for another this September. I’ve also had the awesome pleasure of being the second shooter for several others there. HPO has so many options for layout and plenty of room for a mid-size wedding. Also, there is so much to be said about the employees there – they are so very helpful and kind!

Jessica & Tyler’s day was just perfect. The weather was beautiful, although a tad chilly. We did several formal photos both before and after the ceremony, and I had so much fun recreating and re-envisioning images that Jessica loved. There were so many sweet moments. My absolute favorite was when we revealed their antique Rolls-Royce getaway car, Jessica’s face really lit up! Definitely a close second was getting some night photos with the string lights that line the trees on Queens Way in Downtown Hampton. I had been hoping to be able to do that shot for so long and it turned out perfectly!

I could chat about this wedding for ages, but I really think the photos tell the story the best (and there are A LOT – I couldn’t even share all that I wanted to so I didn’t bog down the page!)

I would love to chat with any couple having their wedding at the Historic Post Office. Send me an email today and we can talk about your wedding over the phone or on Facetime!
