A Wedding in Hampton
This Hampton wedding took place at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in the Fox Hill area of Hampton. If you are a local and drive down Mercury frequently, you’ll have noticed this church for its huge red doors. It’s sort of a funny coincidence that just a few weeks before Justin and Marissa reached out to me, I had told my husband that I could just envision a bride and groom standing in front of those for a photo. I guess the universe gave me my wish with this mid-March wedding.
Loved this Adorable Couple
My favorite thing about Justin and Marissa is how obvious their love for each other is. In the short amount of time I got to spend with them, I could really see that Jeremy is concerned about Marissa’s happiness and comfort. I also loved how much they played during their engagement session! Their wedding day was no different – Justin was rarely far from his bride!
Gorgeous Weather
The weather was beautiful for this Hampton wedding. Although it was a bit chilly and windy, the sun was shining bright, giving us a little warmth during the portraits. The wind was an obstacle, but we still managed to get a few beautiful shots before we zipped over to Langley AFB to keep the dinner timeline on track.
Langley Air Force Base Reception
This was the first time I had a wedding in Hampton that was on Langley AFB and the Bayview Commonwealth Center was a great place to work in! There were several traditional activities throughout the evening including speeches, cake cutting, and, my favorite, the shoe game!
Overall, this was a very sweet and laid-back Hampton wedding and I am so glad I got to be a part of Justin and Marissa’s big day!
