Women’s Club of Portsmouth Wedding
I’ve had the opportunity to photograph a Women’s Club of Portsmouth wedding twice now. Let me just say that it one of my favorite venues for so many reasons. Luckily both weddings had gorgeous weather, so lighting for the ceremony and portraits was perfect. There is no lack of beautiful backgrounds, with trees all around and a beautiful front porch. Indoors is wide open, with beautiful light inside during the day and plenty of dancing space for a great party! There is a beautiful suite for brides to get ready and a great room for the guys to do the same and hang out before the ceremony. The stairs coming down from the suites is perfect for grand entrances. There’s even an adorable little sitting room for guests to take a break from the music and dancing if they need to, without really leaving the party. I’m so glad that Ashley and Trey chose the Women’s Club of Portsmouth – it was a perfect place for their wedding.
Ashley and Trey are a totally unique couple. If you recall, there was a huge downpour during their engagement session at Yorktown Beach and they were quick to make some very memorable photos playing together in the rain. The rainbow that followed was only a sign of what was to come for their big day! These two met in high school, their love never wavering throughout Trey’s Marine enlistment and Ashley’s time at college, and finally tied the knot this September. And can I just say that they are one of the most adorable couples! I never would have realized that they have been together so long with how much they play and have fun together. Their love is still so strong and beautiful!
You can see that uniqueness in these photos too! There was no way I was going to get any straight-faced photos out of this couple! And Trey with his “fanny pack” – that was the best! Their families weren’t short on fun and humor either! Trey’s sisters even read a cute little story during the ceremony that Trey wrote about two dinosaurs in love. Everyone laughed and teared up at his creative entertainment.
Ashley and Trey, you guys are such a fun and sweet couple. I’m so glad I could share this momentous day with you both! Thank you for having me – I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!
