Noah’s Event Venue Wedding | Michelle & Alex

My final wedding of 2017 at Noah’s Event Venue.

Michelle and Alex’s wedding marked my final wedding of 2017 and it was definitely memorable. The venue was perfect, everyone involved was happy and lighthearted, and no one was worried or stressed about anything (other than the few jitters every couple gets before they get married!).

Both the wedding and the reception took place at Noah’s Event Venue, which just opened in April of 2017. I was very excited to shoot somewhere new and it definitely did not disappoint! The main ballroom is just beautiful, and the layout is perfect for weddings or other large parties. I was originally concerned about the location for outdoor portraits, but when I pulled up, the view from multiple angles were fields, trees, and even a small lake with the perfect walkway.

These two are high-school sweethearts.

Michelle and Alex met in high school (that makes three high-school sweetheart couples this year alone!) as members of the band. The stories from all of their friends, both from that era and others, were both hilarious and heartwarming. Just an overall beautiful group of people who really know how to have a good time (and can tell some great stories!).

Luckily it was the warmer of the days on New Year’s weekend (the next day was only 28 degrees with a wind chill of 9!) and Michelle and her bridesmaids braved the cold happily and cheerfully in their dresses (at least the groomsmen had jackets!). Michelle had a beautiful coat to wear for a few shots – and those are some of my favorite! With Michelle and Alex’s perfect planning, there was plenty of time for all of the family and wedding party portraits they wanted (and more!), plus a ton of beautiful portraits of the two of them together.

Time to party!

The reception was a blast – I’m pretty sure that everyone danced. Their friends and family all had great stories to tell and heartfelt wishes for their future. Also, Alex and his family are from Canada, so it was only fitting that one of his relatives led everyone in both the United States National Anthem and the Canadian National Anthem – a great way to symbolize the union between these awesome families.

We ended the night with a sparkler exit (one of my favorite things to photograph!) and the two of them drove off in their decorated car to enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
