My crazy brain!
Small weddings are secretly my favorite. I get to spend so much more time with the couple after the ceremony, getting some amazing portraits for them. This small, family-only Fort Monroe wedding was definitely one to remember – except I forgot to blog it last fall! And these are some of my favorite photos from last year too!
Marcie & Adam’s Fort Monroe Wedding
Marcie and Adam reached out to me after seeing several Fort Monroe wedding photos that I have taken over the years in their search for a wedding photographer. We shared quite a few things in common and hit it off great! They came to me with a specific vision for their photos and a very open timeline for their day, which made planning their portrait time super easy. (I also got the chance to learn a little more about off-camera flash and taking sunset portraits as I photographed them.)
A Gorgeous Sunset
Their main goal was to capture some beautiful sunset portraits – and we definitely did! Fort Monroe has a great view of sunsets over the Chesapeake Bay. This fall sunset was everything we could have asked for, but it was really chilly out! Despite the cold, these two were troopers and even let me do a few night portraits in Downtown Hampton before they headed off to dinner.
If you are getting married in the Hampton or Newport News area, I’d love to chat with you about options for photos. Even if you aren’t having a full decked-out wedding, you will really appreciate the beautiful photos of you and the love of your life together. Fort Monroe weddings are also getting a discount for the summer – why? Because it’s my FAVORITE place to shoot!
Contact me today and we can talk about options to record your wedding day – whether it’s an all-day affair, or a one-hour wedding portrait session, we can work together to make it happen!
