An Engagement Session at The Narrows

I first met Ashley and Todd about 4 months ago to chat about their wedding plans and photography. I instantly felt that these were clients I would love to work with – they are both so easy-going and easy to talk to, which is great for an introvert like myself! Their wedding is happening in October (my FAVORITE time of year!) at another little known park in Chesapeake – I’m really looking forward to it! They chose to have their engagement session at The Narrows, an awesome little tucked-away beach at the end of 64th Street in Virginia Beach. Although the weather was a little muggy, it wasn’t as bad as one may expect on a late July afternoon. And the beach was surprisingly busy for it the time of day, but we were able to find some beautiful quiet spots to sneak in a little PDA and close snuggles!

America is Beautiful

Being a Hampton Roads native, I’ve always been around military service members and their families. It is always an honor to be a part of their memory-making while they’re here in my home town. Ashley and Todd are both serving our country in different branches of the military, and I’d like to thank them both for their sacrifices and their protection. I love to incorporate anything that the couple loves, or that represents them or their relationship, and the huge American flag blowing across the water was a perfect backdrop for some of their shots!

I had a great time talking with and getting to know Ashley & Todd, and I’m looking forward to the big day in October and meeting the rest of their family! I know that they are going to look gorgeous making some beautiful memories for me to capture!
