Thinking about eloping in Hampton?
Do you get nervous in front of a large group of people? Does the idea of planning meals for 100+ people send your head spinning? You are not alone! I know lots of people who just dropped everything and eloped. The idea of a full wedding day was just too much for them (monetarily or otherwise). My husband and I “eloped” on a hot Tuesday afternoon just outside the Hampton City Courthouse months before our planned wedding date. My fiancé had broken a tooth and needed dental insurance ASAP (we still had a beautiful private ceremony in October followed by an awesome party with family and friends, as planned). There are others that decided to get married upon receipt of last-minute orders to ship out for the next 6 months. This blog is about one such couple.
Elopement Portraits in Hampton
Kaycee and Eric were about to be separated for the next 6 months and decided to go ahead and get married in the few weeks they had before deployment. I was so happy to get an email from them asking for me to take their elopement portraits in Hampton. They chose Fort Monroe for the diverse landscape. We ended up with beautiful light despite some chilly temperatures.
The whole session went great, and these two were so cute together! I got so many photos of Eric making Kaycee giggle and smile. This elopement in Hampton was a pretty short session. I really wish we could have spent a little more time visiting the other areas of the park, but we really did make some beautiful images together!
Let’s make your memories last!
I just love working on these small weddings and elopements – I really get to spend so much more one-on-one time with the couple and give them so many portraits to choose from. If you are eloping in the Hampton or Newport News area, I’d love to chat with you about options for photos. Even though you aren’t having a full decked-out wedding, you, your family, and your possible future children will love seeing you and your love together on one of the sweetest days of your life. One day, memories will fade and photos are what will help us remember!
Contact me today and we can talk about options to record your wedding day – whether it’s an all day affair, or an hour long portrait session, we can work together to make it happen!
